Paul Walsh has told Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to sell Diego Costa in the summer transfer window.
The striker has been one of Chelsea’s top performing players this season and his 20 Premier League goals this season have left his team on the brink of the title.
Costa has been in fine form this term and has also notched up six assists for his team-mate in the top flight to help them top the table.
However, his future at Chelsea appears to be far from certain after he was linked with a transfer to China in the January window.
And Walsh reckons Conte should cash in on Costa in the summer if he wants to leave the club.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday morning, Walsh said: “Costa has frustrated me this season.
“For such a big player and such a big guy, he rolls around too much. He gets in a bad frame of mind too often when things don’t go his way.
“If that’s where he wants to play his football [China], let him go.”
Chelsea will be crowned Premier League champions on Friday night if they beat West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.
